Attempt to add a completely arbitrary account, that does not even exist - the dialog will change, so you can also enter the user name in addition to email address - change all information to point to the exchange account you want to use - set the user name to domain user name. If you use a service such as iCloud, Exchange, Google, or Yahoo, you probably need to add that account directly to Fantastical. Open the Preferences and click the Accounts tab to ensure your accounts have been added. If you have On My Mac calendars that you want to use with Fantastical, Fantastical needs access your Calendars and Reminders.

I am trying to add a new Mail account. I successfully added the account to my iPad so I know the info is correct, but when I try adding the same account to my MacBook Pro, I am stuck at the 'Select the apps you want to use with this account' screen.

  1. I open Mail and I am greeted with 'Choose a Mail account provider' => I select 'Other Mail Account..' and click Continue.
  2. Under 'Add a Mail account' I enter Name, Email Address, Password and click Sign In.
  3. I get a red error message stating 'Unable to verify account name or password' and I can now enter Email Address, User Name, Password, Account Type (IMAP), Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server, and click Sign In.
  4. I get 'Select the apps you want to use with this account: Mail, Notes. I select Mail, or both, and click Done.
  5. I get stuck on 'Select the apps you want to use with this account' but the 'Done' button now displays 'Next'.
  6. I can click 'Next' as many times as I want, I get a gear wheel appear for a split second but stay on that 'Select the apps..' window.

This issue started yesterday when my hard drive became too full. I had an alert stating 'Mail cannot save data to your hard drive' and confirmed the alert, then Mail became an empty app as new, without any of my IMAP accounts. The accounts disappeared, they're not in my System Preferences > Internet Accounts either. Trying to add the accounts in System Preferences (rather than Mail) gives me the same result (stuck on selecting apps).
